The IDconnect finger reader is simple to use and easy to understand. However, it is complex to replicate making it the most secure and the safest biometric identifier (or any identifier for that matter) on the market. Data is never stored making us the only company legal in every state and country. There is no comparison and there is no replacement for the protection your students will receive with IDconnect.
Advanced Semi-Conductor Biometric Technology
To align with our high standards in student safety and protection, we only want the absolute best hardware available. Thats why we chose semi-conductor biometric finger readers to match our secure software.
Semiconductor fingerprint sensors mainly use the principles of capacitance, electric field, temperature, and pressure to collect fingerprint images. They need a living finger in order to work. Meaning, an image of a fingerprint simply will not work, making it impossible to fool.
Biometric Finger Data Is Never Stored .
The IDconnect biometric finger reader takes a series of measurements of a finger’s ridges and spaces and inputs them into an algorithm. This algorithm produces a unique integer per each student. No two students have the same or even close to the same integer throughout the entire world!
Once the finger is placed on the reader, this integer is recreated during each identification process. The recreated integer is then matched to the integer generated during the student enrollment process, producing a successful match. All of this is done in under a millisecond! Technology is sure impressive!
Student Security is our #1 Priority
What this all means is that there is no storing of a fingerprint, image, rendering, etc. This integer is impossible to recreate. The algorithm cannot be reversed to find the finger measurements. Biometric data is just not stored. This makes us the most secure company you can trust!
Easy Enrollment
Enroll up to 10 fingers per student!
We recommend enrolling both index fingers for ease of placement and the convinece of not having to remember to switch hands when carrying a lunch tray or books
Enrollment is a snap and as easy as placing your finger down! It only needs to be done once and will be good for the students entire school career; from kindergarten all the way up to 12th grade!
You can enroll students in two ways.
- Enroll from your current student list simultaneously during a designated enrollment time.
- By using the quick enroll feature to create a new student account. This can be done during a student’s first day, but it’s so quick, it can be done during normal operation times.
